Growing up in my family’s old auto-parts warehouse, surrounded by the scent of engine oil, rust, and the echo of tools striking metal each day, oil-stained hands, grease marks on my shirt, and watching worn, dirty parts that seemed worthless to many people — all of these taught me something from a very young age. Restoration is not merely repair; it is the art of bringing something back to life. It requires skill, patience, and a deep understanding of how each mechanism works. A single part, when precisely placed, can bring an entire engine back into motion, and I grew up understanding the true meaning of the word “revival.”
Years later, in a quiet room, I discovered the power of scent by accident. A soft fragrance from dried flowers resting in the corner slowly drifted through the air, gently replacing the trace of engine oil that had lingered at the tip of my nose all day. The air, once heavy, became light, and the tension accumulated over hours quietly dissolved. In that moment, I understood with clarity that scent has the power to transform the atmosphere of a life.
If a single mechanical part can restore life to an engine, fragrance can restore life to a space—and awaken something within us. An engine is built from distinct components that must work in perfect synchronization; no part functions alone, and every piece carries its own purpose. Fragrance is no different. Each note has a role, a rhythm, and its moment to emerge. It must be placed with precision and connected in perfect balance.
With this belief, I began studying the art of composing scent through the same lens as assembling machinery. In 2004, Halo Craft was born from countless candle experiments in search of a balance that felt truly right. To me, crafting fragrance is no different from fine workmanship. It demands precision, discipline, and a deep understanding of raw materials. From scented candles to reed diffusers and a wide range of home fragrances, every creation holds the same invisible principle—meticulous care that cannot be seen, yet can always be felt in the air.
With consistent quality and a distinctive identity, our creations gradually gained recognition, expanding from the domestic market to international audiences around the world. Black became the color of our roots, redefined as a symbol of calm, strength, and quiet mystery. I have always believed that true restoration is not simply about making something move again, but about bringing feeling back to life.
